What is Blast Ball?
Blast Ball is a developmental game utilizing the skills of baseball in a fun, fast-paced activity for younger players.
Blast Ball provides an ideal entry level of play for the youngster who will go on to advanced levels of the game. It is designed to generate fast-paced action, provide recreation and exercise, and create enthusiasm. It teaches all five basic fundamentals of baseball: hitting, throwing, catching, running and fielding.
Teams of 3-5 players will be formed each night on a pick-up basis. All equipment (foam bat and ball) is supplied.
How to play: A Blast Ball is placed on a Tee. The batter hits the ball and runs to the base. If the batter reaches the base before a defensive player either catches the ball in the air (an automatic out), or fields it and yells "BLAST", he scores a run. If the ball is caught or fielded and "BLAST" is yelled before the runner gets to the base, the runner is out.
