What is it ?
BlastBall is a developmental game utilizing the skills of Baseball in a fun fast paced activity for younger players.
Blast Ball provides an ideal entry level of play for the youngster who will go on to other advanced levels of the game. It is designed to generate fast-paced action, provide recreation and exercise, and create enthusiasm. It teaches all 5 basic fundamentals of baseball: hitting, throwing, catching, running and fielding.
Games will last approximately 45-60 minutes one night a week. Parents can select which night they prefer (Tuesday or Thursday) when they register. Teams of 3-5 players will be formed each night on a pick-up basis. All equipment (foam bat and ball) is supplied.
How to play: A Blast Ball is placed on a Tee. The batter hits the ball and runs to the base. If the batter reaches the base before a defensive player either catches the ball in the air (an automatic out), or fields it and yells "BLAST", he scores a run. If the ball is caught or fielded and "BLAST" is yelled before the runner gets to the base, the runner is out.
